Art Show Portfolio 2019

Perch Paper//Goods designs and hand assembles fine greeting cards, packaging, and paper sundries, as well as unique beaded jewelry. All work is created in my West Seattle studio, and my paper art features a variety of media and processes, including: die cutting, hand-cutting, hand-dyed paper (using watercolor and alcohol inks), stamping, heat embossing, water coloring, hand-threaded sequin strands, sewing, intricate in-laid die cuts, masking and multi-layer stamping.  I love playing with layers, dimension, and textures! Most of my work is avian themed or inspired by my love of birds and color!

In 2019, Perch expanded from offering multimedia greeting cards, packaging and paper sundries, to include one-of-a-kind beaded necklaces and bracelets as well.  My beaded work ranges from the delicate to statement pieces and features seed beads, crystals, vintage plastic and resin beads, African, Asian, and Indian beads and brass findings, as well as bone, wood, and fabric.  My statement necklaces have a global feel to them and are often designed around a particular species of bird.

Perch Papergoods has been featured at North Shore Gallery in Bellevue (2016), C & P Coffee (2014, 2016, 2018), Fauntleroy Holiday Arts (2017, 2018), the Holiday Night Market (2017, 2018) in West Seattle, and the Morgan Junction Community Festival (June 2019), in addition to designing custom orders, selling online, and designing for online retailers and other design teams in the paper crafting community.
